About Sauder Worship Seating:
Sauder Worship Seating, a wholly owned entity of Sauder Manufacturing Co., began in the 1930s in northwest Ohio with small, custom orders for worship seating. The company’s reputation for handcrafted, top quality work became its springboard for expansion as increasing needs and changing church trends prompted the Sauder family to introduce new seating solutions and worship accessories. Today, Sauder Worship Seating blends skilled craftsmen, modern technology, and quality materials to create some of the world’s best congregational seating.
With the launch of our all-wood curved pew to the Catholic market in April 2013, we were aware that the desire for curved pews was not limited to an all-wood product. By listening to the style and comfort needs of the unique congregations we work with, we knew the addition of upholstery to our curved pew offering was essential.
As a result extensive research and development, including comfort trials and strength testing, we are pleased to launch our new upholstered seat curved pew body #301-4198. This new product is the next phase in our line of Radiance curved pews, and is now available for order.

- True concentric radius layout allows seating to become a stunning design feature, accenting the building’s architecture
- Each solid wood support is anchored to the floor for added stability
- Back, seat and cap are routed into the end, providing strength and a finished look
- Cap tongue-and-groove runs full length of back for strength and durability

The University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana, became a Sauder customer in 1990 with their purchase of over 100 OakLok chairs. Over the years, additional chairs were added to the space, but in 2012 they decided to transition to a fixed seating layout. With the help of our experienced CAD designers, the university decided on a 3-bank radius pew layout that fits perfectly in the space, enhancing the sense of community and engagement the students and faculty feel when worshiping together.

ARCHBOLD, OH – Sauder® Worship Seating is pleased to introduce RadianceTM curved pews, a new line of radius hardwood worship seating. Radiance is Sauder’s debut into the curved pew market and the direct result of extensive research and design based on architect, designer, and voice-of-customer influences. Sauder Worship Seating is internationally recognized as one of the United States’ oldest and foremost design-manufacturing firms for worship furniture and is considered a premier resource for innovative seating products.
Radiance pews are custom-manufactured to exact location specifications; the curve of each pew is calculated and engineered to the precise concentric radius required for the worship space. Radiance pews feature the company’s unique ergonomic seat contour and the same 25-year warranty as Sauder’s straight pews. Seats are constructed of solid hardwood staves for enduring support and natural aesthetics; and by design, pew backs are crafted of bent, solid-wood plywood with real wood veneer, creating improved structural integrity without splitting or warping that is common in curved plank back construction.
Sauder Worship Seating provides complementary design and project services, including CAD-driven space planning and layouts, seating consultation, and complete project management from planning through installation. The new Radiance line is strategically versatile to coordinate with a full line of accessories and is available in our 8 standard wood species and 11 finish colors.
